This past week while my parents were here our youngest daughter - going to be 3 in August - learned the difference between pretty and handsome. She started this thing of saying "Uhhh Uggie" (meaning You Ugly) of course we weren't for that AT ALL and so we started saying "Oh she's pretty"! Well, when grandpa came and we asked her about grandpa she said, "He preddie" (the 'd' sound not the 't') Well, grandma quickly said something about him being handsome. Well, she has officially realized that girls are pretty and boys are handsome. We've been quizzing her and she gets it right most of the time and if she starts to say "He preddie" for a boy...she quickly corrects it and says "He handsome"! Children are so precious!!!!!!!!!!!
