As we look around us each day, we see and know people who are in NEED of the Lord. My heart just sunk yesterday when we confirmed that two people in our little subdivision have attempted to take their life just within the last 3 weeks. One man got laid off from his job; another man is having marital issues. How devasting to hear this news. We've given both of these families tracts, invited them to church for special occasions and they just have no interest, no time, no desire. We all know that troubling times will bring us to points we normally wouldn't get to...and so I pray that even though my heart just breaks over this news that good would come out of it. They've both survived their 'method' of trying to take their life and so I ask you to join me in praying for these two men and their families. Just maybe...just maybe this will be the turning point in their life and they will realize they are in desperate NEED of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
So many times as God's people we have the assurance of salvation, the assurance that God will provide for His people and we forget about those that daily live with a VOID in their heart and life that we have filled if we've accepted Christ as our Saviour. I know the times we've had job issues, or financial issues...it's been hard but we knew God would show Himself FAITHFUL!
Sometimes we need to look outside our four walls and see the hurt in others eyes. One man we could see doing such a thing, the other was just a real shocker! Both homes we see from our front windows and yet inside their walls there is turmoil, unstability, no peace, no comfort....PLEASE pray with us that the Lord will use this time to reach them for the Lord.
