What A Blooper!

This has been a very interesting week thus far. Yesterday I was preparing to go grocery shopping and I needed to run past the bank and get some change for a yard sale I was planning to do this weekend (but we've postponed it since it looks like rain). I just so happen to have the thought "Maybe I should just 'peek' in the checkbook". I gave all the financial stuff over to my husband several years ago and I have NO regrets. I just couldn't seem to stretch a dollar bill to be a one hundred dollar bill so anyways--the story I am going to tell will show he's not doing much better either (Sorry Honey)

So I 'peek' into the checkbook and see a NEGATIVE sign. Now we always go in the NEGATIVE but we also have some monies (or we USE TO til we added it back in a few months back) have monies in their we were suppose to FORGET ABOUT...we never forget it though. So my heart sank...my husband is in training and so I knew I couldn't call him and he wasn't going to call me till lunch. So I thought okay, I'll scramble all the change I can to cover the amount...I GAVE UP ON THAT ONE! So I went ahead and went grocery shopping -- on the credit card --what a lovely feeling (I HATE CREDIT CARDS). He calls me as I am in the line at Wal-mart and I say "Did you get my email?" (obviously I knew he hadn't got it cause he was being really calm and sweet) He said "NO"...so I explained the whole thing and he was like "NO WAY"...oh, I am so glad you caught that...what was I thinking...and on and on he went in disbelief. So I told him I'd stop by the bank and put all the monies I had in there to help out the situation. WELL...we never add our dividends we earn into our account so we THINK we are covered--I am still checking on line each day to make sure though. HA! I am sure glad that was on HIM instead of ME! I've already done the NSF thing before and I got a VERY good talkn' too! and thankfully we are at a bank that covers for us if we do overdraw.

I said all that to say: GOD PROVIDES. I was thinking...okay for 2 weeks NO MONIES and we have to come up with some to cover the NEGATIVE in the bank. I am having (or was) a yard sale this weekend and I can't even have change for my yard sale; my daughter starts piano lessons (first lesson) on Saturday; I have a hair appt next Tuesday....what are we going to do? Well, I had posted TONS of stuff on ebay to help with their school bill but GOD'S TIMING is PERFECT...even in the little (BUT YET THIS WAS A BIG DEAL)... he knew my poor hubby was going to make a major blooper so HE already had us covered. I was really hoping to put that monies toward the school bill but we are in 'survival' mode right now till next Friday HA! We'll still have a 'challenging' week and a half before pay time but GOD PROVIDES exactly the amount we are in need of.

ISN'T GOD JUST SO WONDERFUL??????????????????????????????? Don't forget...God knows ALL things...even those bloopers we are about to make...and He's ALREADY got us covered. (But I still want to put a highlighted note on each page of the check register...Please NO negatives, honey) Keep trusting in the Lord...remember, in valley's we grow the most!!! (I'm definately going to be growing the next week or so)

I'm so glad to see you post this...what an encouragement. We are also in survival mode this week-thankfully, Brad gets paid on Friday. The Lord has provided for us already this week, but it was just an encouragement to keep looking to Him!

Glad we are not the only ones that go thru this!! It is amazing though how just that right amount comes your way in these troubled times!! I have many times where we were blessed with "just the right amount".
