3. Trails
I am not much on hiking..well, to be honest...I don't hike. I enjoy walking but not hiking up some mountain or getting in wooded areas and hoping I don't get lost or get on a steep, L O N G trail. Before we begin a trail, we better have a plan--a map or guide. It's really not a bad idea to take along some nourishment and maybe have a means to make a shleter--in case our plans don't go as we anticipated.
When we hit the trails of life, we must be prepared in knownig where to turn for nourishment and shelter!! We need a guide.
Who should be our guide?
Ps. 48:14 "For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death."
Where should our nourishment come from?
Matthew 4:4 "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
Where should we seek shelter?
Ps. 61:3 "For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy."
Before we hit the trails of life, we need Jesus as our Guide, our Source of nourishment, and seek shelter in Him.
Part III to be posted later!
