Valentine's Ideas

FOR THE CHILDREN

Balloon Goodies: Insert candy surprises into balloons before inflating them—add a folded-up Valentine’s message then inflate the balloon. Tie with a red ribbon and attach to each family member’s chair for the dinner meal.

For Hubby

I've already started celebrating Valentine's Day. The other day at church I was joking with someone about their husband giving them a gift before Valentine's Day (as the package was sort of Valentine's decor) and she said something like "Everyday is Valentine's Day at our house." You know...it really should be. I have already snuck a special balloon that said "I LOVE YOU" and was held down by a small package of hershey kisses. That was a few days ago. My husband said, "I thought, WOW! She's really packed me a big lunch today." Then to his surprise...there was the balloon and candies.

So here are just a few ideas to "BUILD UP TO THAT SPECIAL DAY" and then continue them on past Valentine's Day as well:

Send tokens of love daily such as love notes, candies, small gifts (use your imagination). Mail them an invitation so they receive it the day before your big event. I plan to just stay home; get the kids to bed early; and watch the Fireproof Movie which is suppose to be really good. Keep a journal every day for the week and note the reasons you love your sweetheart, and give the journal to them on Valentine's Day. (My hubby and I did that while he went on a 3 week business training trip last summer) I still have it. Be creative----plan ahead---and make it a special day...for your hubby and your kids. They like to feel special as well.

I am going to put some candy sayings together with some fun size bars such as: Twix candy "Just beTWIX us...I think you're pretty special"!
