Yet I Will Praise Him Part I

Ps. 42:11 "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou is God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God."

Do you ever feel discouraged? let-down? Do you ever feel like God has somehow forgotten YOU?

Ladies, there are so many others who are just overwhelmed, discouraged, and just feel like they are drowning in their circumstances. Ps. 42:7 says, "Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts; all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me." We must remember those waves and billows are HIS waves and billows. He is in control! Have you caught on to a word I've used several times thus far? F-E-E-L...FEEL! One big thing I constantly deal with is feeding on my f-e-e-l-i-n-g-s. Psalms 42:3 says, "My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?" Instead of feeding on our feelings, we need to feed on HIS WORD. Ps. 43:3 says "O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me:" So many times we allow our feelings to lead us instead of being led by the truth. God is far greater than our feelings, ladies!

And has GOD really forgotten YOU?

Isaiah 41:10 says "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

If there is one area I really struggle with---it's fear! Fear of getting an illness and not being able to care for our children; fear of the unknown; fear of...so many basically "what if"! I have had to learn (and am still learning) to give those fears over to the Lord. I found this little thing about "Fear Not" I would like to share...

Fear Not

The admonition "fear not" is often repeated in Isaiah, backed up by various reasons why God's people need not be afraid. God is with us no matter what the circumstances, and He strengthens us and helps us no matter what the task (Isaiah 41:10). He holds us as He helps us (41:13-14). He will not forsake us because He made us and redeemed us, and we belong to Him (43:1,5). He was with us before we were born, and He has a purpose for us to fulfill in this world today (44:2). How can we be afraid when God's words are sure and He is the Rock of our salvation (44:8)?
