Showers Of Blessings

Yesterday, our family, along with over 200 from our church went out into our community and passed out over 5,000 packets (which included a John & Romans our church put together through a Scripture Project, a pen, pamplet about our church and a special invite to Friend Day Sunday). The weather condition certainly wasn't in our favor---rain, rain, and more rain!! I had the 'honor' of being the driver so I stayed dry.

Our family, along with 6 others, piled into our vehicle and headed out into our 'missionfield' sharing the Gospel. I must be honest--as I got up and began to get ready for this great event, I was hesitant in whether I wanted to get out in the rain. I thought of bringing 4 wet ducklings home (our girls) and risking getting sick. Needless to say, the girls enjoyed getting wet and spreading the Gospel in the rain---mommy normally doesn't allow them to 'play' in the rain! Then the thought came to me--the Jehovah Witnesses would sure be out in the rain so we MUST go and spread the TRUTH about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I pray our labour for the Lord will bring showers of blessings to each home we touched---maybe someone will come to Friend Day, maybe someone will be encouraged and learn of the hope we have in Christ Jesus, maybe--just maybe--someone will come to accept Christ as their Saviour. I'm sure we'll never know of each 'shower of blessing' we delivered while here on earth--and even though we reached a little over 5,000 homes--there are still SO MANY unreached. Yesterday just stirred my heart to be MORE faithful in my witness...to give out more tracts, and share my testimony with others.

Let's desire to reach our 'missionfield' each day. And as mothers, don't forget the missionfield down the hall---our precious children!!!
