Well, whether I am ready or not (which I am not ready) it's BACK TO SCHOOL time again. Today I've been busy organizing, going through school materials and posting lots on EBAY hoping to sell to clean out my school books I no longer need. I've already got the lessons ready for 2 weeks for the two middle girls...still waiting to get the oldest daughters school material as I made a last minute decision to just do Abeka DVD's with every one of them this year. Last year was TOO stressful trying to teach all 3 on my own...NEVER AGAIN! I did it to save monies but at this point I am not thinking about the debt of 3 in school on DVD's...it's just a relief...until the credit card bill arrives! It was learning experience last year and a GRAYING OF THE HAIR experience as well :-(
If you are a homeschool mom, I encourage you to get ahold of a book called "Devotions for Homeschool Moms" by Jackie Wellwood. Just when you think you are alone, this lady seems to have went through it. It's so encouraging to just read each day. As last school year was coming to a close, I was about ready to have a nervous breakdown (or atleast in my mind I was) so my husband mentioned sending them to our Christian school. Now, on those 'not so good homeschool days' I would send them anywhere (well, not really but you know what I mean) but the thought of them not being with me just devasted me. (In fact I found myself crying over them going to school somewhere else besides at home) I love having my girls with me 24/7...even though a break is nice at times...I love knowing who they are with and what they are being taught...we only have them for a short time so TREASURE EACH MOMENT...even those 'not so good' moments! They too will pass quickly!
HAPPY HOMESCHOOLING!!!!
