Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I had a very special day...I turned 34 years old...but what's most important is I still feel like I am in my twenties HA! (I'll keep trying to believe that one) I had a very special day: for one it was on Sunday...a day to be in God's house--a day to be refreshed from the singing and preaching of God's Word. I am SO thankful for our church and the family we've grown to know and love there. (and I must add my husband had our pastor announce my birthday and even gave my age out...made me feel really good---thanks honey)
My husband made mention he had not gotten me a birthday cake and I just told him to give me all the chocolate he could. So this was my 'cake'-- Destiny made a fresh batch of brownies; we had chocolate ice cream; nuts; crushed oreos; m & m's; caramal topping; chocolate syrup; cherries...and I forgot to let the cool whip thaw so we were out on that one. It was so good. I told the girls I'd start my diet Monday (today) but I didn't start out too well....a brownie for breakfast!!!
My parents got me a very nice wind chime (for which I've been wanting a nice one for quiet some time) and of course, some shopping money!!! (Always a girls delight!---off to Cato's I'll go this week) Then my hubby and the girls got me a new outfit with jewelry to match so that was very sweet. I am always up for a new outfit.
I am just so thankful the Lord has blessed me with 34 years of life and a wonderful family! My mom told me every time I hear the windchimes to think of them. (They live like 9-10 hours away and we seledom get to see them)! God is so good, isn't He? Spend some time today reflecting on the goodness of God...it's all around us!!!!!!!! no matter what we may be facing!!!!!!!!!
