Gotta Love Yard Sales

Oh my...have I been a bad girl since I've been home at momma's. They have got the most wonderful yard sales around here. This is how much I enjoy going to them. I woke up at 4 something this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I was up and out the door with all 4 (well, one decided to stay with papaw but she was up and ready to go) by 7 a.m. (Why can't I get it all together that quick on Sunday mornings---well, they weren't all 'fixed up' either this morning) This is so small (but BIG to me) and I believe God knows our desires (this was not a 'need' but a MAJOR 'want)-- I got a new look for my dining room for under $15.00! I have been so tired of the 'country' look (the one I've had since we've been married ---going on 14 years)I wanted a more 'formal' look I guess you'd call it!

I went to this yard sale up the road from my parents and it seemed as if the lady had totally changed her decor in her kitchen/dining area. I looked at it and thought well, should I or shouldn't I? I got home and my mom and I were talking -- she ended up talking me into going back up and getting the stuff. So I hurried up and got up there telling myself "If it's still there, then it's for me. If it's not...well, I am not sure how I'll react" Anyways, it was still there. I got a gorgeous picture from Home Interior (my sister-in-law sells it and actually has the same picture and she said it was like a $65-75 picture) -- I GOT IT FOR $5.00! Then I got a centerpiece that goes with the picture for $3.00; placesmats to match it with napkin rings for $4.00; and at a separate yard sale I found a runner that goes exactly with what is in the patterns for $1.00. Can't beat that!! My husband will be thrilled---I hope he likes the new look! I have found so many deals while I've been up it's been amazing. Don't you just love it when someone else gets tired of their 'junk' and you find it as a treasure? Have Fun Going Yard Saleing!!!
