This is one of those weeks I am feeling just a bit overwhelmed...serving on jury SERVICE (not duty as they told us today...but let me tell you I feel like it was duty); trying to get the last things done for our Young at Heart activity this Saturday; trying to keep the house 'perfect' in case of a showing---we were suppose to have one today. In fact I called my hubby to let him know I was heading home from jury SERVICE and he said we have a showing in like one hour. So I rushed home, I mean RUSHED home hoping all cops were on a donut break...a LONG one...jumped out of the van; rushed in the house; grabbed the broom and looked at the stove to see the oven was on. My husband had just got home from running errands and helping me get some of the YAH stuff done. He had come home and put a PIZZA in the oven with only 30 minutes till the people were to arrive. Let's just say I wasn't too happy...it was a BAD BAD wife moment for me. What person would start fixing lunch when you know you are showing the house...but anyways...so we had rushed and gotten everything all cleaned up and would you believe it? The phone rang and something came up and they cancelled. This is the second time this has happened. I told my hubby if it's the same people, next time we aren't booking no shows and we need to let them know ahead of time.
Back to my days...this summer I am trying to plan fun things with the girls each week to keep summer FUN; and just the daily routine of being a wife and mother...one word can sum it up for me --- EXHAUSTION!!!! I keep telling myself each week...if I can survive this week...next week will be easier but there is ALWAYS something. I keep telling my husband I just want to escape to the mountains and just RELAX...even though we just went on a vacation :-) Can't take too many vacations can you? Well, just thought I'd sum my thoughts up for the moments...now it's time to get the girls out of the pool; get that mess cleaned up; fix supper; baths; devotions; and at some point SLEEP!!!!!!!! Oh, forgot I have to call at 5:30 to see what time I am to report for jury SERVICE tomorrow!
