On The Dot Ladies Conference

Oh, what a wonderful time we had at the annual Ladies Conference. This years theme was "On The Dot". The speakers, the singers, the fellowship was just outstanding. What challenges I came home with as well. You know in a previous post I mentioned how everytime I leave on Mount Everest and then it doesn't take long for the landslide to occur and me be 'down in the dumps' again :-) I am sure you ladies haven't experienced that, right? As soon as I got home...well, let me back up...my hubby did a wonderful job watching the girls for me over the weekend. He took them to a mountain in our area to see the leaves and gather different types rocks; he took them out to eat; then went a friends and let them play with their kids so they REALLY enjoyed their 'daddy time'! When I got home though, I was greeted with those precious ants...still in my dining room...thank the Lord they are not in the kitchen--dishes piled everywhere and a not so spotless house. I, being one who likes things in their place, wanted to say something but I told myself, "I am NOT going to give the devil one centimeter...I've had too good of a weekend and too many challenges to 'blow it' on these little details."

As I said earlier, I did receive a lot from the speakers and various sessions, but as we were eating our lunch somehow the topic was brought up, "Thank God For Unanswered Prayers". I had NEVER thought of that before in my life. Of course, we are always thankful for answered prayers, but what about those UNANSWERED prayers? As we were reflecting back over our lifes, I was thinking of the situation I could've found myself in had I not met my now husband...I am REALLY grateful God didn't answer the prayer for the 'boy' I was thinking of marrying! So many times when we pray, we get upset if God doesn't exactly answer our prayers as we think He should, but when He doesn't answer in our 'favor'...in the end, I am sure we can be thankful for the UNANSWERED prayers. God ALWAYS knows best and ALWAYS sees the bigger picture. Keep trusting in Him...Keep Praying...but also be willing to accept those UNANSWERED prayers as a blessing!
