If there is one song that is on my mind right now it would be "He's Still On The Throne". Isn't it wonderful to know...with the election results definately turning the way I didn't desire...that GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE! Change may come -- and I am sure it's the change we will not desire, those that didn't and those that did vote for Obama -- will definately see change but GOD NEVER CHANGES! He's always the same! He has promised to us many things and they still remain as true today, as they did yesterday before the outcome of the next president came out in the news.
I must admit, I felt a little let-down or disappointed. As I read a news line and saw pictures of people in Kenya just dancing and laying sacrifices down to their 'gods' 'praying' that Obama would become president, I just stopped and begged God (more or less) to please intervene in the election. I didn't support McCain in all his areas but I believe he would've lined up closer to biblical principles than Obama. It's history though and as christians we must move forward...keep winning souls, remain faithful, pray, read our Bibles, and believe that ONE DAY (hopefully soon) the LORD IS GOING TO RETURN. The election of Obama has definately gotten the world's attention---but that will not compare to the attention the Lord's return will receive. I am glad I KNOW I'll be in the headlines of one of those that was taken up in the clouds.
Our girls knew who we backed for the election and so they are like , "Why did this happen?" I just tell them, which I think is a good reminder to us all, to not have the attitude of 'giving up' but to pray all the more for America because she definately needs it! Pray for Obama's salvation--I know you may think...there's no hope BUT there is hope until we draw our last breath. We need to just pray, pray, pray and be prepared to meet our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as I believe His Coming is soon approaching. There's still lots of work to do...so stay busy for the Lord and keep your eyes on the sky! You'll not be disappointed when you look to Jesus! Have a blessed fall day!
