50 WAYS TO STAY HAPPY

l. Tell someone how much you appreciate
him/her.
2. Memorize the first seven verses of Psalm 37.
3. Invite a neighbor aver for a cup of coffee.
4. Listen to a favorite recording.
5. Write a letter to someone who is lonely.
6. Make a list of all the things you are thankful
for.
7. Offer to baby sit for a young mother with
several small children.
8. Make a batch of fudge for someone who
wouldn't expect it.
9. Ask your pastor for a job to do.
10. Subscribe to a good Christian paper or
magazine.
11. Learn something new -Sewing, furniture
refinishing, ceramics.
12. Make a collection of your best recipes for a
new bride.
13. Make a fancy coffeecake for a new neighbor.
14. Invite someone new over after church on
Sunday.
15. Take fifteen minutes every day for some kind
of exercise besides housework.
16. Come to breakfast looking as pretty as you
can!
17. Tell your husband how glad you are that he
picked you out.
19. Compliment your children about something,
sincerely!
19. Do a special private study on some book of
the Bible.
20. Wake your husband tomorrow with a kiss.
2l. Try writing a poem.
22. Make a doll dress for a favorite little girl.
23. Plan a favorite supper for your family.
24. Plant a windowsill garden.
25. Design a funny get-well card for someone in
the hospital.
26. Spend half a day in an old people's home just
listening to them talk.
27. Make prayer list. Record every answer to
prayer.
28. Try a new recipe for dinner tonight.
29. Send a note to your child's teacher telling her how
much you appreciate her work.
30. Smile at everyone you meet today.
31. Re-arrange a room.
32. Light candles and use your best china for an
ordinary family dinner.
33. Let your children invite their friends over for
the afternoon for a taffy pull.
34. Cultivate a new friend.
35. Buy a craft magazine for patterns. Start
making birthday presents instead of buying them.
36. Get a library card. Use it'.
37. Try reading the Bible through in a year.
38. Be especially nice to the check-out clerk in
the grocery store.
39. Stop and look at your children. Notice how
beautiful and sweet they are.
40. Try a new hair style.
41. Put a note in your husband’s pocket telling
him how great you think he is!
42. Tackle some job you've dreaded doing and
finish it up as quickly as you can.
43. Have a tea party with your toddler: try hard to
forget the housework for a little while.
44. Set some goals for yourself and check off
every one you accomplish.
45. Help your children make a puppet theatre out
of a cardboard box. Make finger puppets.
46. Take a hot bath (with bath oil); close your
eyes and relax.
47. Put on a little perfume before dinner tonight.
Even the children enjoy a Mommy who smells
nice.
48. Memorize the words to a hymn which has
meant a great deal to you.
49. Put a surprise in the children's lunch boxes.
50. Tell someone how good the Lord has been to
you.
