Sprinkler - Do Splash Joy On Everyone You Meet
Proverbs 15:23 “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!”
Proverbs 12:25 “Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh it glad.”
Proverbs 16:24 “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”
I Peter 4:11 “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
Let’s splash joy on everyone today! So many people are hurting and need a fitting word of encouragement or comfort. May no unwholesome word proceed from our mouth but only those words that would build up others, according to their needs.
I remember when my grandpa had honey bees and we’d get the honeycomb. Oh, it was so sweet and so delicious. Our words should be sweet just like that honey on the honeycomb. May many people be touched today (and everyday) by the words of joy we sprinkle on their lives!
One of my favorite verses I always try to bring to mind before I have a conversation that may become ‘heated’ if I am not careful in my choice of words is Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” WOW! What would happen if you and I would CONSTANTLY turn our thoughts and choice of words to this verse to see if they are even worth speaking or our thoughts worth thinking upon? I am sure we could even make a bigger impact for Christ and have a better testimony for our Lord and Savior!
This is the last of this series on Our Words As Garden Tools.
