Squeeze the lemon on vegetables while steaming to keep the colors bright

Now, how many of us like it when life squeezes the 'lemons' on us -- does the effect make us shine more brightly like those vegetables are to do when the lemons are squeezed on them? I'd have to be honest and say, I allow the opposite to happen at times--I don't beam with the brightness as I do when all is going well.

What should our response be? We should allow our life to shine even more brightly for our Lord and claim His precious promises. We all know:

- God's ways are perfect Ps. 18:30a "As for God, his way is perfect:" Are our ways perfect? NO!
- God knows what is best for us! Romans 8:28 Do we always know what is best for us? NO!
- God is faithful. 2 Thes. 3:3a "But the Lord is faithful..." Are we always as faithful as we should be? NO!
- God NEVER fails Joshua 1:5b "...I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee" Do we ever fail? YES!

We have a responsibility to shine brightly for our Lord and Saviour during the good times and during those times we feel like we are sitting directly under a ripe lemon tree getting hit with one lemon after another.

Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
