Being A Daisy In A World Full Of Weeds Part III

I - Integrity

Integrity is purity; sincerity; honestly; uprightness

Ps. 25:21 "Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee."

To be a lady of integrity:

1. Don't be immoral

- have purity in your thoughts, motives, actions, the way you carry yourself

2. Don't devise evil against others

-Proverbs 3:29

-Don't try to figure out how to take advantage of others

3. Don't lie

- Lev. 6:2

- Lying seems to be dominating our world but it's sin

4. Don't slander others

- Ps. 101:5

- God will do the cutting off

S- Separated

II Corinthians 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."

Now that does not mean we are to go around with our nose in the air thinking we are better or too good...we are all sinners saved by grace if you are saved. Never forget where you came from. If you've read previous post concerning a neighborhood dispute...I have to remember that there was a time I didn't like being around 'church' people. They made me uncomfortable because I wasn't living the life I knew I should be living for the Lord. I was raised in a christian home. I knew better!

Psalm 1:1-2 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."

Y - Yielded

In order for us to be a daisy in a world full of weeds, we must yield ourselves to the Lord. He is the most wonderful Master.

Romans 6:16 "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"

How can we be a daisy in a world full of weeds?

D - Our DESIRES need to be Christ-centered

A - ADORN ourselves in a Christ-honoring way

I - Have an INTEGRITY that is pure, sincere, honest, and upright

S- SEPARATE ourselves from teh world -- in our talk, walk, dress...

Y - YIELD ourselves completely to the Lord.

Let's go out and be bright blooming daisies for the Lord to this lost and dying world.
