I am getting hooked on going to our local GW Boutique...anyone guess what that may be? SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...it's the G-0-0-D-W-I-L-L!!! Yeap, I said it. I LOVE IT! My mom regularly goes to her town's Goodwill (oops, I just said it) and finds all kinds of goodies. The other day she found an antique clock made in 1896 (my mom and dad are into antiques). A guy, for whom she knew was an antique dealer, made mention how it probably wouldn't work or something (she knew he was just wanting her to put it back on the shelve so he could grab it) so she told him she had a friend - which she really does - that works on clocks.
I have found the most gorgeous clothes for the girls and I. Of course, any of you with children know that they go through major growth spurts and if you have more than one child, they all go thru them at the same time. That is the way it's been with our older two girls...growing, growing and growing...but I am not going out and buying all NEW stuff...so we have pretty much given them a new Sunday wardrobe within the last few weeks by consistantly visiting our local GW Boutique. I am all for it. Let someone else pay big bucks for the clothes and then wear them a few times...I'll pay $2-4 dollars for them.
I use it as a way to show the girls that God answers prayer. Of course with seasons changing, and them getting their spring stuff out and finding out nothing fit...they were desperate. I would pray, "Lord, you know the girls really need some nice (modest) skirts for Sunday, please allow there to be some today." God hears and answers prayers and I would share that with the girls...it certainly increased our faith!!!
Here are just a few of my recent finds:
This vest is from Christopher and Banks (I LOVE THEIR CLOTHES) got it for like $3.25 or 3.50...it was brand new with the tags still on it!
