The Gift Of Neighbors

We have been so blessed with the sweetest elderly lady who lives right behind us! You know how when you see someone from a distance, they look different than seeing them up close. Well, from a distance we were VERY reluctant to even get to know this lady when we first moved here. BUT once we met her in person, and up close, who she reminded us of quickly faded away!

She's been a widow for several years and has a little trouble getting around and doing much so we take her meals, share our desserts, the girls run over to get special treats from her when she calls...she has just been like family to us. Not only her, but her daughters and granddaughters have just taken our girls under their wings.

If all neighbors were like her, there would be neighborhood cookouts all the time!

Maybe this Christmas consider making up platters of cookies to give to your neighbors -- even those who may not particular care for you -- we have some of those. Always be sure and share not only the sweets of the goodies, but the sweetness of the Christmas story and the gospel by placing a tract in with the treats. A small gesture will go a long ways---especially at Christmas time!
