Thanksgiving Is Over, BUT...
Well, Thanksgiving Day is over BUT our thanks - giving to our Lord should NEVER be over. What are you thankful for TODAY - the day AFTER Thanksgiving? I am thankful for:
1. Waking up and KNOWING I have a home in Heaven - I don't have to doubt each day if I'll make it--I KNOW I am going to be with the Lord one day. I call it "Blessed Assurance"!
2. Waking up and having a wonderful, faithful, godly husband. Ladies, all around us marriages are just falling apart - even within the churches - we need to be thankful for our husbands.
3. Waking up to blessed quietness (only for a few more minutes I am sure) then our home will fill with the laughter, the playfulness (and sometimes the bickering) of four precious little girls God has blessed us with.
4. Waking up and being able to get out of bed with full strength and good health!
5. Waking up to the beautiful morning hours of a fresh new day! Make it a good start for the day and spend time in prayer and in God's Holy Word!
6. Waking up and having both parents still with me. I am thankful for my parents and ALL they do for our family - loving our children, being their for us, encouraging us, supporting us...I couldn't have asked for better parents.
6. Waking up and knowing that God is in control of EVERYTHING!
7. Waking up and having food in our pantry...and more leftovers from Thanksgiving to supply a few more days!
8. Waking up to the warmth of a home. My husband got behind my dryer the other day and said "This is a fire hazard"! I guess a bag or something had fell back there without my knowing. He mentioned how people are doing anything to keep warm and a few people, even some grandchildren, died from a housefire from trying to keep warm using anything! How sad!
9. Waking up and just being able to see! Can you imagine NEVER being able to see your children's face; the wonderful creation God has given us; the marvelous change that takes place each season? Be thankful for your sight that God has given you!
Now it's your turn...What are you thankful for the day AFTER Thanksgiving?
Waking up and...
Have a wonderful day!
