Psalm 100:4 Part IV

Psalm 100:4 "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."

"...and bless his name." Oh, it bothers me so to hear people curse His lovely, precious name--we need to 'bless' His name! I can't help but think of the chorus to the song "Take The Name Of Jesus With You."

Precious name, oh how sweet,

or the song--

Jesus is the sweetest name I know
And He's just the same,
as his lovely name.
And that's the reason why I love Him so
For Jesus is the sweetest name I know!

or another songs chorus "That Beautiful Name"---

That beautiful name,
That wonderful name
That matchless name is Jesus.

Let's be VERY cautious on how we use the Lord's name - or even the 'slang' usages of His precious name - there's absolutely NO ROOM for that type usage in our language. I am amazed the 'christians' who will use the 'slang' (I guess you'd call it) such as G-O-S-H...!! My parents would NEVER allow such things to come from my mouth or I'd be 'popped'! (you know what I mean) Instead, let's BLESS HIS NAME! He is so worthy of our blessings and praises! Spend some time today just reflecting upon the precious name of JESUS!
