A Good Wife - Part 3

Proverbs 12:4 "A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones."

Proverbs 18:22 "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord."

Then I want you to read Proverbs 31:10-31 (for sake of my not having to type ALL of those verse :-) )


Ladies, we need to follow this type of lady...each and every day as a wife.

As a wife, we need to bring joy and gladness to OUR husband. How can we bring joy and gladness to our husbands?

- support him
- encourage him
- pamper him
- be affectionate to him
- be faithful to him
- dress in a way to honor him (and the Lord)

If we are a disgrace to our husband, we let him down tremendously--just as if his bones rotted away ("is as rottenness in his bones..."). Bones that have rotted are not effective in supporting our body. We need to support and encourage our husband in the Lord.

May each of us be known as "a crown to her husband."
