Refreshing - A few nights ago I got my husband to get some pine needles so we could spruce up our place for the spring/summer. After the dreary, deadness of winter, I was ready to get some brightness back around our home. So he edged the beds and extended them out to make room for flowers; I planted vinca in hot pink and white; placed fresh pine needles down and now our home looks refreshed. Ladies, sometimes we need to be refreshed spiritually…..more often than not…..and probably more often than we realize or take the time to be refreshed.
God’s word is so refreshing, so reassuring to me when troubles and trials come my way. The other day one of my friends asked me if the past year dealing with Destiny’s disease and the up’s and down’s had been the most difficult year of my life. I hesitated because you know I thought “Oh, it’s been hard at times and scary I must admit---but in and through it all GOD HAS BEEN SO GOOD.” God has shown Himself faithful and sent little blessings our way to refresh us in the midst of it all. He’s reassured us in His Word that He would never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). What a promise! What hope to cling to when it seems your whole world is falling in….God is still there with you and He’s in control. So if you are feeling all alone in the midst of your storm right now, cling to God’s precious promise that HE WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE NOR FORSAKE THEE!!!
